Groups of None

TITLE: Message Options

BUTTONS: Close

Snarky comment: What do you suppose happened here? Do you think the developer just missed the target when dragging these controls into the two group boxes?

What's wrong here?
  1. Group boxes as headings. This is likely a UI implementation error, as opposed to an intentional design statement. Presumably, the Message Settings and Tracking Options groups should contain the controls that they respectively precede.
  2. No colons. This is one of a number of windows that lacks colons on field labels. While by itself this is not a problem, it's inconsistent throughout the application. Field labels in some windows have colons, others don't.
  3. No Cancel. So, then, what happens when you click the close box ("X") in the top right corner? Does it have the same effect as clicking Close or does is cancel the changes? It's unclear. Better: OK/Cancel.

Unreadable in Any Language

Snarky comment: I'm thinking Starwoods may want to rethink its relationship with this company....

What's wrong here?
  1. The first word on the page is misspelled. Oh, but wait, it gets better. The misspelled word is the name of the company that hired TNS to conduct this survey: Starwoods [sic].
  2. Hope you read English, because of all the links to this survey in other languages, this is the only one that doesn't make your eyes hurt.
  3. The translation is understandable, but a bit redundant for some of the languages: e.g., English, Dutch.
  4. Holy parenthesis!
